How to Participate

We welcome performers of all backgrounds and experience levels in grades K-8. To participate, please complete the registration form and review the guidelines.

All performers must register by October 23rd and must attend the screening day on Saturday, October 24 or provide a YouTube link to their performance.

If selected for the final showcase, performers will be on stage on Sunday, November 22 at the Hellgate Highschool Auditorium—the showcase starts at 3 PM.

There is no fee to perform. We ask parents and guardians to support the Missoula Rising Stars through ticket sales, sponsorships and program ad sales. We will also be raffling off baskets at the event and donations are always welcome.

Screening

The selection committee evaluates readiness, preparation, time limits, and overall program variety. All participants, whether or not selected for the final showcase, will benefit from practicing their performance in front of performing arts professionals. They will receive supportive, encouraging feedback and coaching that helps them gain confidence and learn what it takes to prepare for a public performance.

You will perform a part of your act, not the full act, on Saturday, October 24 at the Hellgate High School Band Room.

  • Once you’ve registered, you’ll be asked to sign up for a slot from 9 AM to NOON.

  • Performers may also submit a 30-second video audition by providing a link to their YouTube upload.
