The Stars Touch the Earth

  • The George and Jane Dennison Theatre On the corner of Maurice and Connell Avenues Missoula, MT United States (map)

Join us to hear all three choirs sing songs of love, loss and wonder

The Missoula Family of Choirs presents The Stars Touch the Earth—an afternoon of song where voices shimmer, stories unfold, and music brings the heavens a little closer. Delight in a whimsical and profound selection of pieces including “I Never Ate a Cloud” by B. Wayne Bisbee, “The Stars Stand Up in the Air” by Eric William Barnum, “My Spirit Sang All Day” by Gerald Finzi, and “Purple Balloons” by our own Sylvia Wood.

Our ensembles weave a musical tapestry that honors the wonder of the natural world and the warmth of community: MPower Voices, led by Malcolm Lowe, Forte Children’s Choirs, conducted by Brenda Griggs, and Missoula Community Chorus, directed by Ellen McKenzie.
